Bio

Megan has a background in classical ballet and trained in aerial arts with Rachel Bowman (Cirque du Soleil), and in contortion with Jonathan Nosan (SF Circus School). She specializes in solo and duo work on silks, lyra, chains, strap loops, aerial spiral and originally designed apparatus (aerial crossbar and cage).

Megan just was the aerial choreographer for the Tom Petty music video “Leave Virginia Alone” and was a lead aerialist/model in a national commercial for the Estée Lauder Supréme 2021 campaign, directed by Jacob Sutton. She also choreographed and performed her solo silks act in the summer 2021 release of East Forest’s music video, ‘Undying’.

Megan performs regularly at venues such as The Box, Webster Hall, House of Yes, Soho House, Cipriani’s, The Slipper Room, The Weylin, Tribeca Rooftop, Capitale, and Lavo (events for Beyoncé, Paris Hilton, Lorraine Schwartz) to name a few.  Megan also performs at corporate and private events across the country, most recently at The Shed in NYC for John Legend, as well as major music events including Ultra Music Festival. Megan created a solo aerial act for the Shakespeare Theater Company’s annual gala in Washington DC at Sidney Harman Hall and most recently was honored to perform on silks with Alicia Keyes live at the Apollo Theater in NYC .

Megan has been featured in national commercial and print work for Target and Kohls, modeled for Bandier ad campaigns, and was featured in a print campaign for Balenciaga in Interview Magazine.  She was a featured soloist in the Broadway production of the immersive show “Zeigfeld’s Midnight Frolic” at the Liberty Theater, and was a principal aerialist in the feature film, “The Greatest Showman” starring Hugh Jackman. Most recently she was a featured soloist performing high-speed tracking motor harness work for the fall 2022 NBC Universal/Telemundo ‘up fronts’ at the Zeigfeld Theater live and televised in NYC. Currently contracted as a featured guest artist, doing her solo straps act with Virgin Voyages.

Creative Direction

Megan Hornaday has been choreographing, directing, and producing aerial/dance based entertainment for the past ten years across the United States. Her work is site specific, and tailored to the client with an aesthetic ranging from extremely edgy to more conservative corporate events, weddings and nightlife. Her client list includes: Ferrari, Lady Gaga, Kohl’s, Triumph Motorcycles, Tao Group (events for Beyoncé, Lorraine Schwartz, international DJs), and many private celebrity events.
